We will provide you with a monthly Invoice Statement of Services upon request.  You are responsible for collecting reimbursement from your insurance provider, your HSA or HFSA as services may be covered at least in part.  Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
How many sessions per year does my insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Court-Related Work

Should we be involved in any legal proceedings as a result of your involvement in those proceedings, you will be charged a fee of $350 per 50-minute hour with a three-hour minimum.  This applies to any time we spend on the case, including but not limited to depositions, telephone calls, review of records, travel time, report writing, letter writing, or contact with other professionals, individuals, or entities regarding your case.

Confidentiality

Legal and ethical responsibilities require that private sessions remain confidential.  Therefore, no information will be released to another professional or agency without your written consent.  Exceptions will be made only if you endanger, or may endanger, yourself or others, and/or in the case of child abuse or elder abuse.  In these cases, the law requires a therapist to share certain information with specific outside parties.

Cancellation Policy

Once we decide to work together, we hold regularly scheduled appointment times for you.  Although psychotherapy varies in its duration in that it may be short or long term therapy, it does require a serious commitment of time and effort.  The need for consistency and attention to your personal process cannot be underestimated.  In order for us to best serve our clients within a weekly schedule, you must give us 48-hour notice if you are unable to attend a session, or you will need to pay for that hour.  We will try our best to reschedule you during the week.

Voice Mail / Emergencies

We are available by telephone, text, and email should a situation arise that cannot wait until your next scheduled appointment.  In such cases, please leave a message on our voicemail indicating the nature of the situation and we will return your call as soon as possible.  If you are experiencing an emergency and need immediate assistance, please call 911.
